After a new house was built this slope was really unstable, but with locally collected seeds thrown on it and later some plantings the whole area really took off.

The Team started work on removing the Ipomea from the trees and surrounding area.  This plant grows from a main source and then layers itself and also produces seed.  It was pulled out of the trees, bagged and removed from the site.  Unfortunately it is a  very persistant weed and will need many more days of removal.

There was a large stand of Bamboo that was cut and dug out and then planted with indigenous plants.

Houses back onto the reserve and many escapees have invaded the reserve…. this stand of Prickly Pear was removed and the vacant area left will be replanted with appropriate indigenous plants.
