Remember the Black Summer 2020 bushfires when we wanted to reduce fuel loads. We also wanted to improve the path by the lake. So, at a Sunday afternoon gathering of around thirty residents and visitors overlooking the lake late in January 2020, Heights Care was formed.
Community meetings disrupted by COVID encouraged us outdoors and to form the Wallaga Lake Heights Landcare group.
We acknowledge the excellent support of the Bega-based Far South Coast Landcare Association. And to recognise the sustainability grants from the Bega Valley Shire Council in each of our first three years.
